The Interruption of Everything

"The Interruption of Everything" is a book by acclaimed author Terry McMillan, that shares the realistically fictional story of a woman in her mid 40's whose life is turned upside down by a series of events. Like Marilyn Grimes, the main character of the book, life sometimes throws us curveballs. It's up to us to either hit them and knock them out of the park or let them strike us out.

In the midst of the chaos, the confusion, the reminiscing, the longing for what used to be, the "wallhala and craziment" as Iyanla Vanzant often calls it, Jesus steps in. He comes to interrupt the pattern. Being the gentleman that He is, He stands at the door and knocks. He waits patiently for us to open up. He waits for us to allow Him access to come in and sup with us. Isn't it an honor that Jesus wants to come have dinner with us?  Rev 3:20

Shhhhh. Do you hear that noise? That's Jesus knocking. He's gently tapping on the door of your heart. He's patting the portal of access to your mind. He wants to sit and sup with you, to dine with you. Think of all the wonderful conversations you've had over dinner! The many changes and accomplishments you've made during a working lunch! Imagine the epiphanies you could have after a meal with Jesus! WHEW!!!

Don't keep waiting. Allow Jesus to be the interruption of your everything!
